Zinc coated steel nano carbon stranded wire is a new type of grounding product developed according to the market demand of the petrochemical industry. It uses special steel and special zinc as raw materials and forms bimetallic composite materials through special processes. This product combines the advantages of zinc anode and traditional galvanized steel grounding materials, with high strength and thermal stability of steel, as well as cathodic protection function. The contact resistance is less than 0.5 Ω, and the performance is more scientific, economical, and has a longer service life, generally up to 30 years.
The process of zinc coated steel nano carbon stranded wire and zinc coated steel grounding body is to use pure zinc wire (zinc purity greater than or equal to 99.996%) with a diameter of 7 millimeters, wrapped around ultra corrosion-resistant nano carbon conductive polymer and galvanized steel wire rope inside the protective layer. This material has good conductivity, high mechanical strength and thermal stability, and strong corrosion resistance.
Zinc coated steel nano carbon stranded wire has been applied in cathodic protection and grounding devices for steel storage tanks in the petrochemical industry since the late 1990s. The product shall comply with the GB 50650-2011 Design Code for Lightning Protection of Petrochemical Equipment 6.3.3 Anti corrosion Materials and the "GB/T2008-2006 Wire Rope" standard of Baosteel.
The new process for producing zinc coated steel (copper) nanocarbon stranded wire is to wrap pure zinc wire (zinc purity ≥ 99.996%) around the corrosion-resistant nanocarbon conductive polymer protective layer developed by our company on the plated steel wire rope or multi strand copper wire. Thus, the resistance at the interface between the two different metals is less than 0.8 Ω/m.
The product combines the characteristics of two different metals, zinc and steel, and zinc and copper, greatly improving the mechanical strength and conductivity of the grounding electrode. It also has cathodic protection and grounding protection functions. Therefore, it can be widely used not only in situations where grounding and cathodic protection coexist, but also for zinc anti-corrosion grounding devices and cathodic protection devices respectively.
