Precautions for the use of lightning protection engineering grounding system

In this article, the editor of graphite grounding introduces the precautions for using lightning protection engineering grounding system:

1) The lightning protection grounding must be less than 4 ohms, and when using a shared grounding, it should be less than 1 Ω.

2) The distance between two independent points must be greater than 20 meters, otherwise an equal position equalizer should be installed between the two locations.

3) Signal lightning arresters should be separated from direct lightning strikes as much as possible, in order to prevent direct lightning strikes from hitting signal equipment from the ground wire.

4) Outdoor grounding device method:

A、 Galvanized flat iron is buried horizontally to form a grounding network, with a minimum depth of 1 meter.

B、 The artificial grounding module shall be buried underground, with a depth of not less than 0.5 meters.

C、 When a 2.5-meter galvanized steel brazing rod is vertically driven into the ground, the distance between each other must be greater than 5 meters when multiple rods are used.

D、 2.5-meter galvanized steel brazing rod with galvanized flat iron mesh.

E、 On the basis of the above methods, add drag reducing agents or replace soil.

5) The outdoor grounding lead must be welded to the buried grounding device and undergo anti-corrosion treatment (such as brushing asphalt)

6) Indoor grounding and equipotential must be connected by welding or mechanical means, and the paint or oxide layer at the connection must be removed before connection.

7) Grounding lead wire diameter: from the computer room to the outdoor grounding device lead wire (round steel diameter should be greater than 10mm, flat steel cross-section should be greater than 80mm2).

8) Copper wire and flat iron must be welded or mechanically connected, and undergo anti-corrosion treatment. That's all for the graphite grounding editor.
